It’s that time of year again when we look forward to a long hot summer and cricket. We can’t guarantee the former, but there will be cricket.
Indoor nets are booked at the Indoor Cricket School, St Michaels Lane, Headingley, for 6 weeks from Monday 29 February. We have booked four lanes from 6-8 pm ending on 11/04/16.
Under 9’s and 11’s session will be 6 to 7 pm and the 13’s, 15’s and 17’s are 7 to 8 pm.
There is no session on Easter Monday which is 28/03/16 so there is a total of 6 sessions indoors with the aim to go outside on 18/04/16.
This season our coaching will be delivered by Pro Coach, led by David Foster. We will have two Pro – Coaches at each session with support by the junior managers and hopefully players from the senior section. Please arrive at the nets in good time to start on time.
Fees for the forthcoming season will remain fixed at the same prices as the last three years as follows:-
· Season 2016 Junior Members (up to 18 years old) are set at £25 per player.
· KECC offers family membership discounts of two children £40, and three children plus at £50
Anyone representing the club will need to be a member before they can play.
Coaching fees are priced as follows:
· 1st child are £4 per week, £12 per month and £65 per season (all indoor and outdoor sessions).
· For 2nd and 3rd children are – £3 per week, £7 per month and £45 per season.
This season we will be entering a team for each age group and two teams for the Under 15’s. We have space for a few more Under 9’s and 13’s . If you know players that are interested then please ask them along to the indoor nets. We have also enlisted the help of Chance To Shine (led by David Foster) who will be offering coaching in local schools with one eye on recruitment for KECC.
On Friday 22nd April (at 7pm) we are hosting a social / junior presentation (at the club house) where you can find out about the club and become members. We will not be signing up members before then. The Junior presentation is for the 2015 season and we hope to have a Yorkshire player present. Light food, refreshments and a quiz will be provided. Members of the senior section will also be present and the bar will be open. We will also bring along donated cricket gear (shirts, whites, helmets, pads, bats, cricket shoes) that is available in return for a reasonable donation to the club. Please bring along good quality items that may you have been outgrown.
Looking forward to another good season of junior cricket at KECC. With players learning, improving and enjoying cricket. Please help make it a success by offering your help and support
