Two games to go and we were facing Beckwithshaw away.

Mullers won the toss and put them in to bat.  Their opening two started confidently and rode their luck, after we dropped them more than once off Piggy, to reach 90 and 54 respectively.  There was little batting after this however they still set a respectable total of 236 all out off 49.3 overs.  Unusually, there were 3 run outs, the most important being that of their number 1 impressively done by Sam Winter, who received 2 fielding points after another catch off Watty and some great stops.  The other wickets were taken by  Mullers, who got 3 for 52 off13 – all catches(1 each to Seth Chohan, Tom Mileham and Adam Hussain).  There were also 2 each to  James Watson (ct. Paul Bennett and Mark Hodgson) and Steve Watkins (ct. Sam Winter and clean bowled).

KECC managed only 117 all out, Mark Deighton top scoring @36 and Dan Ostrowski, who went in at number 10, getting 4*, but showing some good batting technique.

Pool were also beaten by Harden this week so we are 10pts. behind 2nd place going in to the final match on the 12th September.
